Introduction

HealthPlanet is TANITA Health Link’s free health management app.
Here, you can record your body composition, number of steps, blood pressure, and other health data. By linking to compatible devices you can have your measured data automatically transferred to the app.

Membership registration (free)

You need to be a member to use the HealthPlanet app (registration is free).
Download HealthPlanet and become a new member by registering your ID, password, nickname, gender, height, date of birth, email address.
• If you’re already a member of HealthPlanet Walk, HealthPlanet Food, or Karada Karute (Body Chart), you can use the same account.

Login/Logout

Use the login screen to log in. When you want to log out, tap “Profile” icon at the top right corner of the home screen and select “Logout” button shown at the bottom.

Warning

We strongly recommend that you use your telecom carrier line or other stable network environment when using the app.

Changing membership information

You can make changes to the information you registered as a member from Edit Profile or User Information by following the steps below.
*You cannot change your ID.

Nickname, height, gender, date of birth, body shape and activity level

You can change these from Edit Profile.

How to make changes

  1. Tap the profile icon at the upper right of the home screen.
  2. Tap Edit Profile.
  3. Enter the item you wish to change and overwrite.
  4. Tap < (back) at the upper left and return to the home screen.
    • You can make these changes on the HealthPlanet website as well.

Mail magazine subscription, password, email address

Changes can be made on the HealthPlanet website.

How to make changes

  1. Tap the profile icon at the upper right of the app’s home screen.
  2. Tap See HealthPlanet Website.
  3. Tap Login at the upper right of the screen.
  4. Enter ID and password.
  5. Tap Register Information at the upper right of the screen.
  6. Tap User Information.
  7. Tap the item you wish to change and overwrite.
  8. Tap the Confirm Content button, then tap the Send button.

Entering Data

Record your health data on body composition, step count, blood pressure, and urine glucose.
You can choose to record these manually or with data communication input using a compatible device.
• Urine glucose can only be entered manually as there is no corresponding communication device.

Manual entry

Record manually

  1. Select and tap “Enter data” button on the home screen.
  2. Select the type of data you want to record, enter the values in the manual entry column, and tap the Enter this Data button.
    • Tap “Enter detailed data” button to enter BCM data other than body weight and body fat percentage.
    • If the system is on automatic transfer mode from a compatible device, tap “Revert to manual entry” button.

Register the BCM on the App

If you are using the BCM linked with the App for the first time, follow the steps below to set it up.
Have your smartphone and BCM ready. Insert batteries in the BCM and leave it turned OFF.

  1. Go to Settings on your smartphone and turn Bluetooth ON.
  2. Open the HealthPlanet app and tap the Input Data icon on the home screen.
  3. With the BCM tab selected, tap the Set button where it says “Easy automatic data input from BCM”.
  4. Tap “Body Composition Monitor with Bluetooth Low Energy Compatibility” on the select device screen.
  5. Tap the Register BCM button.
  6. Make sure that the BCM power is turned off and press and hold ○ (set/communication button) on the BCM for at least three seconds.
    • If you are using an iPhone, select “pairing” when your smartphone requests pairing.
    • Some Android devices also request pairing. When this happens, tap Pair and Connect. Please take note that Pairing Request message will disappear after a few seconds. If you are unable to tap Pair and Connect, or the app screen times out without a pairing request, remove the app from the background and restart your phone. Relaunch the app and start over from procedure 2.
  7. When your BCM screen shows Settings, enter you BCM personal key, weight of clothing and smartphone, nickname, BCM region, etc., and tap Register.
    • If you see a message after you tap Register, follow the instructions. If it asks if you want to overwrite, tap OK.
    • Select a different BCM personal key number when registering a second or subsequent person.
  8. When you see “kg” on your BCM screen, step on the device barefoot to measure. When you have finished measuring, you will see “Data has been entered”, indicating that your measurement data has been saved on the app. This completes your BCM registration on the app. From the next time on, follow the procedures for measurement using a smartphone or measurement without using a smartphone to make the measurements and transmit the data.

Making measurements using a smartphone

  1. With the BCM turned OFF, tap Input Data on the app home screen.
  2. Select Body Comp to launch the BCM.
  3. When you see “kg” on your BCM screen, step on the device barefoot to measure. When you have finished measuring, you will see “Data has been entered”, indicating that your measurement data has been saved on the app.

Making measurements without using a smartphone

When you make measurements using Noru Pita (V Pita) function without a smartphone, you can save up to 10 sets of data on the BCM.
• The weight of your clothing and smartphone will not be deducted. If you want to subtract the weight of your clothes and smartphone, please make your measurement using a smartphone.

  1. Step on the BCM with the power turned OFF.
    • If you are using models RD-800−804L, turn the BCM ON, pull up the control panel and step on the scale barefoot.
  2. Your body comp will be measured and the data automatically saved to the BCM.
    • The BCM will automatically recognize the person being measured from among the registered persons and display the results. If the correct personal number is not displayed after automatic recognition, select the correct personal number while the data is being displayed. (Each device has a different method of selection so please refer to the instruction manual.)

Send the measurement data saved on the BCM to your smartphone using one of the following methods. Also, by having made your measurements using your smartphone, the measurement data already saved in the BCM will be sent as well.

How to retrieve data stored in the BCM by operating the app

  1. Tap the profile icon at the upper right of the app home screen.
  2. Tap Manage Registered Devices.
  3. Tap the Data Retrieval button for the BCM you want to retrieve the data.
  4. When you tap OK to send the measurement data saved in the BCM to your smartphone. This completes the process.
    • Data cannot be retrieved unless your smartphone and BCM are paired.

How to retrieve data saved in the BCM when launching the app

Use the “Automatic data retrieval from BCM” function to automatically retrieve data from Noru Pita and V Pita measurements saved in the BCM.

  1. Tap the profile icon at the upper right of the app home screen.
  2. Tap Manage Registered Devices.
  3. Turn Auto Retrieval of BCM Data ON. This completes your setting.

After this, whenever you launch the app, the icon to the left of Weight on the home screen will blink and the measurement data saved in the BCM will be sent to your smartphone.
• The BCM must be turned OFF and the app must be completely closed (in taskkill state) before launching it.
• Communication distance between the BCM and app should be within 5m with good visibility. Please be aware that moving the smartphone or operating it while carrying it around during communication can cause a communication error, and data may be lost.
• When multiple BCMs are paired with a single ID, automatic retrieval will only work for the first BCM found among the paired.

The Automatic Retrieval of BCM Data Function

Automatic retrieval of BCM data is a function that lets you automatically retrieve data saved in the BCM by making measurements with Noru Pita or V Pita when the app is activated, provided that connection settings and initial measurement have been completed in advance. 

Noru Pita and V Pita Measurements

For BCM compatible Noru Pita, simply step on the BCM while it is turned OFF. For BCM compatible V Pita, turn the power ON, pull up the control panel and step on the scale barefoot. The user recognition function automatically recognizes the person being measured from among the registered users and displays the results. Being able to taking measurements even when you don’t have a smartphone on hand makes it convenient.
• The function will be either Noru Pita or V Pita, depending on the BCM. Please refer to the instruction manual for each device.

How to set up automatic retrieval

  1. Tap the profile icon at the upper right of the app home screen.
  2. Tap Manage Registered Devices.
  3. Turn Automatic Retrieval of BCM Data ON.

How to use automatic retrieval

  1. Make measurements with Noru Pita or V Pita.
  2. Be sure that the BCM is turned OFF.
  3. Launch the app after making sure that it is completely closed (in taskkill state).
  4. BCM data will be imported into the app.
    • Automatic retrieval is possible for data saved including “designated measurements”, made by appointing specific registered members.

Cautionary notes on using automatic retrieval.
• The BCM must be turned OFF and the app must be completely closed (in taskkill state) before launching it.
• Be sure that Bluetooth is turn ON.
• Communication distance between the BCM and app should be within 5m with good visibility.
• For Android devices only, you need to allow smartphone location and app location permissions (nearby devices for Android 12 and later) in advance. 
• Be sure to confirm that the BCM is turn OFF before launching the app.
• Body comp data that is saved to a different personal number than the one registered for pairing cannot be retrieved.
• If you are concerned about battery consumption due to the BCM being turned on and off each time you launch the app, you can turn the automatic retrieval function OFF and import Noru Pita (V Pita) measurement data at your own convenience by tapping Data Retrieval. 

Change/cancel registered information on BCM

  1. Tap the profile icon at the upper right of the home screen.
  2. Tap Manage Registered Devices.
  3. Tap the Edit button on the BCM where you want to change/cancel registered information.

You can change the weight of your clothing and smartphone, BCM regional settings, and user notes. Depending on your BCM model, you can also change your nickname, exercise habits, and pulse measurement. After modifying the content, tap the < (back) icon at the upper right to complete the setting.
*Pulse measurements on RD-800/E04/801/802 need to be configured on the BCM itself. Please refer to the instruction manual for details.
*Your BCM personal key number cannot be changed. If you wish to change this, please cancel the pairing and select the personal key that you wish to change, when you reconfigure the pairing.

Tap Cancel ⇒
Tap Cancel to cancel the device registration.

Weight of clothing and smartphone

Clothing and Smartphone Weight settings can be changed by following these steps:
Profile > Manage Registered Devices > Edit (Registered Devices) > Change > Clothing and Smartphone Weight

*The weight of your clothing and smartphone will not be deducted when you make measurements on Noru Pita (V Pita).
If you want to subtract the weight of your clothing and smartphone, please use the app to launch the BCM.

Reset pairing

When an OS application is updated, the pairing may be canceled due to BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy) specification. If this happens, please reset the pairing. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Using the BCM with Bluetooth communication set up

*By setting up Bluetooth communication, you can check your results on your smartphone even without a wireless LAN environment.

Set up Bluetooth communication

If you are using the BCM for the first time, set up Bluetooth communication by following these steps.
Have your smartphone and BCM ready. Insert the battery to your BCM and leave it turned OFF.

  1. Turn on Bluetooth on your smartphone.
  2. Tap “Input Data” on the app home screen.
  3. If the “BCM” tab is selected, tap “Input from BCM”.
  4. Tap “Body Composition Monitor with Bluetooth Low Energy / Wireless LAN Compatibility” on the device selection screen.
  5. Tap “Register BCM”.
  6. Make sure that the BCM power is turned off and press and hold 〇 (set/communication button) on the BCM for at least three seconds.
    • If you are using an iPhone, select “pairing” when your smartphone requests pairing.
    • Some Android devices also request pairing. When this happens, tap Pair and Connect. Please take note that Pairing Request message will disappear after a few seconds. If you are unable to tap Pair and Connect, or the app screen times out without a pairing request, remove the app from the background and restart your phone. Relaunch the app and start over from procedure 2.
  7. When your BCM screen shows Settings, enter you BCM personal key, weight of clothing and smartphone, nickname, BCM region, etc., and tap Register.
  8. Tap “Measure with Bluetooth (BLE) Enabled”.
    • If you see a message after you tap Register, follow the instructions. If it asks if you want to overwrite, tap OK.
    • Select a different BCM personal key number when registering a second or subsequent person.
  9. When you see “kg” on your BCM screen, step on the device barefoot to measure.  When you have finished measuring, you will see “Data has been entered”, indicating that your measurement data has been saved on the app.
     

From the next time on, follow the procedures for measurement using a smartphone or measurement without using a smartphone to make the measurements and transmit the data.

Measurement using a smartphone

  1. With the BCM power off, tap “Input data” on the app home screen.
  2. When “Body Composition” is selected, the BCM is launched.
  3. When you see “kg” on your BCM screen, step on the device barefoot to measure.  When you have finished measuring, you will see “Data has been entered”, indicating that your measurement data has been saved on the app. 

Measurement without using a smartphone

If you don’t have a smartphone when you are measuring, save the measurement data on the BCM and send it to your smartphone later. You can save up to 10 sets of data on the BCM.

  1. Step on the BCM with the power turned OFF.
  2. Your body comp will be measured and the data automatically saved to the BCM.
    *If automatic recognition results in multiple candidates, get off of the BCM and select your personal number. If the pulse measurement setting is ON, get on the BCM again and measure your pulse.

Send the measurement data saved on the BCM to your smartphone using one of the following methods.

Data transmission using the app
Having data automatically transmitted when the app is launched

When you make measurements using your smartphone, the measurement data that is saved in the BCM is transmitted to your phone.

Data transmission using the app

  1. Tap the profile icon at the top right corner of the home screen.
  2. Tap “Manage Device”.
  3. Tap “Get Data” for the BCM from which you want to transmit the data.
  4. Tap “OK” and the measurement data saved on the BCM is transmitted to your smartphone.

This completes data transmission to your smartphone.

Having data automatically transmitted when the app is launched

  1. Tap "Profile" icon at the top right of the home screen.
  2. Tap “Manage registered devices” button.
  3. Turn “Auto data retrieval from body composition monitor” ON. This completes the settings. 

When the app is launched, measurement data saved in the BCM will automatically be transmitted to your smartphone.
• The BCM must be turned OFF and the app must be completely closed (in taskkill state) before launching it.
• Communication distance between the BCM and app should be within 5m with good visibility. Please be aware that moving the smartphone or operating it while carrying it around during communication can cause a communication error, and data may be lost. 
• When multiple BCMs are paired with a single ID, automatic retrieval will only work for the first BCM found among the paired.

Using the BCM with LAN communication set up

*By setting up wireless LAN communication, the measurement data will automatically be sent to the server so you can check it on your smartphone or computer at your convenience.

Set up wireless LAN communication

If you are using the BCM for the first time, use Bluetooth to set up wireless LAN communication by following these procedures.
Have your smartphone and BCM ready. Insert the battery to your BCM and leave it turned OFF.

  1. Turn on Bluetooth on your smartphone.
  2. Tap “Input Data” on the app home screen.
  3. If the “BCM” tab is selected, tap “Input from BCM”.
  4. Tap “Body Composition Monitor with Bluetooth Low Energy / Wireless LAN Compatibility” on the select device screen.
  5. Tap “Register BCM”.
  6. Make sure that the BCM power is turned off, press the 〇 button on the BCM and select “Communication Settings” > “Set from Smartphone”.
    • If you are using an iPhone, select “pairing” when your smartphone requests pairing.
    • Some Android devices also request pairing. When this happens, tap Pair and Connect. Please take note that Pairing Request message will disappear after a few seconds. If you are unable to tap Pair and Connect, or the app screen times out without a pairing request, remove the app from the background and restart your phone. Relaunch the app and start over from procedure 2.
  7. Input each of the items in “BCM Settings” on the app.
  8. Tap “Set up wireless LAN”.
    • If you see a message after you tap Register, follow the instructions. If it asks if you want to overwrite, tap OK.
    • Select a different BCM personal key number when registering a second or subsequent person.
  9. On the “Select Network” screen, select the name of the network (SSID) you want to connect to, enter the password, and tap “OK”. If the name of the network (SSID) you want to connect to is not displayed, tap “Add Network”, enter the required information, and tap “OK”. When wireless LAN setup is successful, a checkmark will be displayed to the right of the network name. (If a wireless LAN network has already been set up, it will be displayed with a checkmark. To change it, select another network name (SSID) and set it up.)
  10. Turn on “Wireless LAN Transmission”. (If wireless LAN transmission is not turned on, the data will not be automatically transmitted via wireless LAN after measurement.)
  11. Tap Complete Setup and Measure, and when you see “kg” on your screen, step on the device barefoot to measure. When you have finished measuring, you will see “Data has been entered”, indicating that your measurement data has been saved on the app. (If you wish to complete registration without measuring, tap “Complete setup and go to home screen”.)

This completes wireless LAN communication setup.
Starting the next time, when making measurements, following the procedures for making measurements with the BCM and transmitting the measurement data via wireless LAN communication.

Measuring with the BCM and transmitting the data via wireless LAN communication

  1. With the power off, step on the BCM.
  2. Your body composition is measured and the data is automatically saved in the BCM.
    *The person being measured is automatically recognized from among the people registered and the result is displayed. If automatic recognition results in multiple candidates, step off the BCM and select your user ID. If the heartrate setting is on, step back on the BCM and measure your heartrate. When measurement is complete, the measurement data is transmitted.
  3. Tap the data sync icon at the upper left of the HealthPlanet home screen to synchronize the data with the server so that it is reflected on the app.

    *The measurement data may fail to transmit depending on the network status, but the issue is resolved in the following manner.
  • After 30 minutes, retransmitting the data will be tried automatically.
  • After measurements are made again, or another person makes measurements, any untransmitted data will also be automatically transmitted.
  • When you press the 〇 button on the BCM and select and tap “Communications Settings” > “Transmit Data”, the data will be transmitted.
    *If for one time only you don’t want to transmit the measurement data, press the 〇 button when the measurement data is displayed and select “Don’t Transmit Data”. The measurement data will not be transmitted and will be deleted from the BCM.

Changing/canceling BCM settings

  1. Tap the profile icon at the top right corner of the home screen.
  2. Tap “Manage Registered Device”
  3. Tap “Edit” on the BCM for which you want to change/cancel registration.

Tap Change ⇒
Tap “Change” to change the settings for BCM personal keys and colors, nicknames, clothing and smartphone weight, BCM region settings, exercise habits, heartrate measurement, user notes, and wireless LAN.
*Your BCM personal key number cannot be changed. If you wish to change this, please cancel the pairing and select the personal key that you wish to change, when you reconfigure the pairing.

Tap Cancel ⇒
Tap “Delete” to cancel the device registration.

*On the RD-930L/931L, the BCM personal key is displayed as the “User ID”.

Changing wireless LAN communication settings

  1. Tap the profile icon at the top right corner of the home screen.
  2. Tap “Manage Registered Device”
  3. Tap “Edit” on the BCM for which you want to change/cancel registration.
  4. Tap “Change”.
  5. Tap “Wireless LAN Settings”.
  6. On the “Select Network” screen, select the name of the network (SSID) you want to connect to, enter the password, and tap “OK”. If the name of the network (SSID) you want to connect to is not displayed, tap “Add Network”, enter the required information, and tap “OK”.
  7. Turn on “Wireless LAN Transmission”.

*If wireless LAN transmission is not turned on, the data after measurement will not be automatically transmitted via wireless LAN.

Change user color setting

You can choose the color you want the lighted parts of the BCM to display.

  1. With the power off on the BCM, tap the profile icon on the upper-right of the home screen.
  2. Tap “Manage Registered Device”
  3. Tap “Edit” on the BCM you want to set the color on.
  4. Tap “Change”.
  5. Tap “Set User Color”.
  6. You can change the color by sliding the three sliders, for red (R), green (G) and blue (B), to the left and right.

Weight of Clothes and Smartphone

When you register “Weight of Clothes and Smartphone” on the app, it is inputted into the RD-930L/931L and integrated into the measurement results when user recognition is enabled (“Noru Pita” function). Conversely, please note that even if you set “Weight of Clothes and Smartphone” on the RD-930L/931L, it is not reflected on the app.

“Weight of Clothes and Smartphone” settings can be changed with the following procedures.
“Profile” > “Manage Registered Device” > “Edit (Device)” > “Change” > “Weight of Clothes and Smartphone”

Register

  1. Turn on the body composition monitor and follow the instruction manual to set BCM Area and Calendar Settings.
  2. Turn Bluetooth ON, on the communication device.
  3. Tap “Enter data” button on the home screen.
  4. With Body Comp selected, tap “Input From BCM” button.
  5. Tap the BC-505 button on the select device screen.
  6. Go to “Register personal data” button and proceed according to the BCM instruction manual. Set communication to YES.
  7. ap “OK” button and then tap “Register” button for the relevant body composition monitor on the BCM management page. Depending on the device, you may need to enter a passkey (PIN code).
    When you see an “enter passkey” screen, enter the digits 0000.
    Complete the “Register personal data” section on the BCM.
    *If the connection is successful, the body composition meter will beep. If the connection fails, please start again from step 4.

*The BC-505 can be used on Android devices equipped with Bluetooth. iOS devices do not support communication.

Send Data

  1. Tap Enter Data on the home screen.
  2. Select Body Composition to show the message, “Receiving data from BCM.”
  3. Select your personal key on the BCM and when you see “kg” on your BCM screen, step on the device barefoot to measure. 
  4. When you have finished measuring, you will see “Data has been entered”, indicating that your measurement data has been saved on the app.

Cancel registration

  1. Tap "Profile" icon at the top right corner of the home screen.
  2. Tap “Manage registered devices” button.
  3. Tap “Cancel” button for the body composition monitor you want to unregister.

You can also use the following steps to cancel your registration.

  1. Tap “Settings” button on the communication device. Tap “Wireless and Network” button. Tap “Bluetooth Settings” button.
  2. Press and hold “TANITA BC-505” button and tap “Unpair” button.

About reconfiguring pairing

When updating OS applications, Bluetooth communication settings may be canceled due to BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy) specifications. If this happens, please reconfigure the settings.

Transmit data

iPhone app

  1. Tap “Enter data” button on the home screen.
  2. With “Steps” selected, tap “Input from pedometer” button. *Tap Start Scan for the second and subsequent times.
  3. Tap “FB-730/AM-150” button.
  4. When you see the message, “Ready to scan,” move the device closer to the upper back of the iPhone.
  5. When you see the message, “Data retrieval is complete,” tap “Done” at the upper right of the screen.
    *If communication is interrupted by moving or shifting the device away from the smartphone while sending, data will not be transmitted correctly. Please be careful.

Android app

  1. Tap “Enter data” button on the home screen.
  2. With “Steps” selected, tap “Input from pedometer” button.
  3. Tap “FB-730/AM-150” button.
  4. When you see the message, “Retrieving data from pedometer/activity monitor,” hold the  or  on the back of the pedometer/activity monitor over the FeliCa image on your smartphone. (Transmission will begin and “Reading” will be displayed. Do not move until “Reading” disappears.)
  5. When you see the message, “Data has been entered,” tap “Done” at the top right of the screen.
    *If a FeliCa image does not show on your device, please check for the reading point. If communication is interrupted by moving or shifting the device away from the smartphone while sending, data will not be transmitted correctly. Please be careful.

Registering activity monitor

If you are using the BCM linked with the app for the first time, set up Bluetooth communication by following these steps.
Have your smartphone ready. Insert batteries in your activity monitor.

  1. Turn Bluetooth ON, on the communication device.
  2. Tap “Enter data” button on the home screen.
  3. With Steps selected, tap “Input from pedometer/activity monitor” button and tap “AM-161” button.
  4. Tap “Register pedometer” button.
  5. Press and hold Λ for at least two seconds.Tap OK when you see the communication icon .
    • If you are using an iPhone, select “pairing” when your smartphone requests pairing.
    • Some Android devices also request pairing. When this happens, tap Pair and Connect. Please take note that Pairing Request message will disappear after a few seconds. If you are unable to tap Pair and Connect, or the app screen times out without a pairing request, remove the app from the background and restart your phone. Relaunch the app and start over from procedure 2. 
  6. Enter walking/running strides and tap “Register” button.

Transmit data

  1. Turn Bluetooth ON, from your smartphone Settings.
  2. Tap “Enter data” button on the home screen.
  3. When you see the message: “Retrieving data from pedometer…,” hold the communication button (○) for at least two seconds. Transmission will begin when you see the communication icon .
  4. Data transmission is complete when you see the message, “Data has been entered.”

Cancel or edit registration

  1. Tap “Profile” icon at the top right of the home screen.
  2. Tap “Manage registered devices” button.
  3. Tap “Edit” button on the BCM you want to unregister.
    Select “Change” button to edit walking or running stride.
    Select “Cancel” button to unregister.

Reset pairing

When an OS application is updated, the pairing may be canceled due to BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy) specification. If this happens, please reset the pairing. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Register BPM

  1. Turn Bluetooth ON from your smartphone Settings.
  2. Tap “Enter data” button from the app home screen.
  3. With the blood pressure tab selected, tap the Set button where it says “Easy automatic data input from BPM”.
  4. Tap the BP-224L button on the select device screen.
  5. Be sure that the BPM is on clock mode and press and hold the temperature display button for at least three seconds to show the communication icon , indicating that the BPM is on standby for device registration.
  6. Tap the “Register BPM” on the app to start searching for the device.
  7. When the device is found, the authentication code displayed on the BPM will also be displayed on the app screen.
  8. Tap Record 1 or Record 2 on the app to complete registration.
  9. When registration is complete, you will see “Start Reading” displayed on the app.

Measure blood pressure

  1. Wrap the BPM cuff around your arm. Hold your posture for proper measurement and press the Start switch to begin measurement.
  2. Pressurization will begin automatically and when the BPM is finished measuring, the data and room temperature will be displayed alternately.
  3. Tap the number you registered the device with (Record 1 or Record 2) and save the measured data on the BPM.

Send Data

  1. When the BPM is on clock mode, press the record button where the measurement is saved (Record 1 or Record 2) to show the communication icon , indicating that data transmission is on standby.
  2. Tap the “start reading” button on the app to upload data.
  3. When you see the message “Data has been entered” on the app, your data transmission is complete.

Cancel BPM registration

  1. Tap “Profile” icon at top right of the home screen.
  2. Tap “Manage registered devices” button.
  3. Tap Cancel on the device you want to unregister.

Register BPM

■Prepare
Disconnect the USB cable from the charged BPM. BLE communication will not work with the USB cable left connected.

■Pair
Turn the main BPM unit power OFF.
*Devices cannot be paired immediately after measuring blood pressure. Please wait (at least one minute) before starting to pair.

  1. Turn Bluetooth ON from your smartphone Settings.
  2. Tap “Enter data” button on the app home screen.
  3. With the blood pressure tab selected, tap the Set button where it says “Easy automatic data input from BPM”.
    •If you don’t see the Set button for “Easy automatic data input from BPM”, another device may already have been selected. In this case, tap the “return to manual input” button to see it.
  4. Tap the UA-1200BLE button on the select device screen.
  5. Tap Register BPM > You will see a request for pairing when communicating with a device for the first time.
  6. Registration Complete
    A dialogue will appear saying, “You have been registered as User XXX.”
    Your User number is automatically assigned and registered by the BPM.

Send Data

■Measure

  1. Wrap the BPM cuff around your arm. Hold your posture for proper measurement and press the Start switch to turn the power ON. 
    Keep pressing the Start switch multiple times until you see the User number designated at registration.
  2. Pressurization will begin automatically and when the BPM is finished measuring the data will be displayed.

■Read saved measurement data

  1. Turn the BPM OFF.
  2. Tap the “start reading” button on your app to upload the data.
  3. When uploading is complete and you see the message, “Data has been entered” on your app, you can view the transmitted measurements.

Send Data

■Measure

  1. Wrap the BPM cuff around your wrist. Hold your posture for proper measurement and press the Start switch to turn the power ON.
  2. Pressurization will begin automatically and when the BPM is finished measuring, the data will be displayed.
  3. After measurement is completed, press the memory/recall button to save the data on the BPM.
    *The M light on the BPM screen will stop blinking.
  4. Tap Enter Data on the app’s home screen.
  5. With the blood pressure tab selected, tap the Set button where it says “Easy automatic data input from BPM”.
  6. Tap the BP-302 button on the select device screen.
  7. When you see the message, “Receiving data from BPM…” press the communication button on the BPM for at least three seconds to display the communication mark. Hold the communication mark over the FeliCa mark on your smartphone to transmit. 
    *Be sure to keep your smartphone in contact with the BPM until you see “Data has been entered”.
  8. When you see the message “Data has been entered”, your data transmission is complete.
    *BP-302 can be used with Android devices equipped with NFC. iOS devices are not supported.

Graphs

View graphs

Tap “View graphs” button on the home screen or tap the respective mini-graph displayed on the widget.

*If you have the View Data screen displayed, you can also go to the graphs screen by tapping the graph icon at the upper right.

Change the items displayed in the graph

Tap the display items on the graph screen and select the item you want to display.

Tap (+) on the graph screen and select the item you want to display.

Restore graph to single axis display

Tap (-) on the graph screen.

Change the graph display period

On the graph screen, tap the period you want displayed: one week, one month, three months, half year, or one year.

View graphs from the past

Move the graph screen to the left or right to see older or newer graphs.

Data

To see a summary of your data

  1. Tap “View Data” on the home screen.
  2. Tap any one of “Body”, “Blood Pressure”, “Step Count”, or “Urine Glucose” and select the item you wish to display.
  3. To see details, tap the row for the date you want to see data for.
  4. Tap (↑) or (↓) to see data from before or after the date you selected.

For Body Comp, Blood Pressure, and Urine Glucose you will see the average values for that month next to the year and month. Step Count will show the month’s total and average number of steps.

*If you have the View Graphs screen displayed, you can also go to the View Data screen by tapping the three-line icon at the upper right.

You can also use the following steps to check your registered data.

  1. Tap the graph on the graph screen.
  2. Tap the balloon with the date and number to display details of your registered data.

About the colored marks next to the data

When there are multiple data entries for the same month, the following marks will appear next to each value.

  • The month’s highest, orange.(
  • The month’s lowest, light blue.(

Delete data

  1. Tap ViewData on the home screen.
  2. Tap one of the body composition, step count, blood pressure, or urine glucose tabs at the top and switch to the item you wish to display.
  3. Tap the data you want to delete and tap the Delete button on the data details screen.
    *Data can only be deleted one at a time.

Widgets on the Home Screen

Customize widgets on the home screen.

●Switch display items.

  1. Tap the Customize Home Screen button on the home screen.
  2. Tap and turn display items ON or OFF according to your purposes and preferences.

●Change display order.

  1. Tap the Customize Home Screen button on the home screen.
  2. Tap Widgets in the change display order column.
  3. Drag the three lines to the right of each item to rearrange them in your desired order.

Show values in “Total calories consumed this week” and “Total calories consumed this month”.

  1. Enter your weight data for the past three months.
  2. Enter your step count data for this week (starting Sunday) or from the beginning of this month.
  3. Tap the data sync icon at the upper left of the home screen to show calories burned.

Set your target weight

  1. Tap “Set target” button on the weight widget.
    *Or tap “Set target” button on your profile page.
  2. Tap the “Target weight” button line and enter your target weight.
  3. Select “Higher” or “Lower” than your target weight.
    *Choose whether your goal is to weigh ●kg or more, or ●kg or less.

    ●When you set a target figure…
  • The widget will display the difference between your current weight and your target weight. E.g.) 2.2kg away to target.
  • Your target line will be displayed above the graph.

Set your target step count

  1. Tap “Set target” button on the Steps widget.
    *Or tap “Set target” button on your profile page.
  2. Tap the “Target steps” line and enter your target step count.

    ●When you set a target figure…
  • The widget will display the difference between your current step count and your target step count.
    E.g.) 1980 steps to target.
  • The widget will show how many times you reached your target in the past week.
    E.g.)  x3
  • Your target line will be displayed above the graph.

Change widget tally period (steps, energy expenditure)

Tap “Total steps this week/month” or “Total energy expenditure this week/month”, to change the tally period.
*Your total energy expenditure this week/month will start being counted on Sunday.
*To display “Recommended weight”, enter your weight or basal metabolism.

Recommended Weight Maintenance

The estimated daily energy required to maintain your current weight by calculating BMR* × physical activity level.
*BMR × weight

Physical activity level is indicated in Profile Editing and can be set as high, normal, or low.
Daily activities for each level are as follows.

Daily Life

  • Low: You spend most of your time sedentary and your activities are predominantly static.
  • Normal: Your work is predominantly sitting but also engage in either moving and standing at work during projects or serving customers, walking to and from work or shopping, household chores, and light sports.
  • High: Your work requires considerable movement and standing, or you regularly engage in active exercise during your free time, such as sports.

Link with the pedometer app HealthPlanet Walk

Show the number of steps counted on HealthPlanet Walk, on HealthPlanet

  1. Log in to HealthPlanet Walk with your ID and password.
  2. Tap the Send Data Icon at the upper left of the HealthPlanet Walk home screen to send HealthPlanet Walk data to HealthPlanet.
  3. To see the data on the HealthPlanet app, tap the Sync Data icon at the upper left of the HealthPlanet home screen.
    *Data for the current day and unsent data (up to 30 days prior) will be sent. Data older than 30 days will not be sent. Be sure to send data at least once every 30 days.
    *If you are using an iPhone, please send your data once every 7 days.

Link with iOS Healthcare App

Link with Healthcare

You can link the six items, weight, body fat percentage, BMI, pulse*, systolic blood pressure, and diastolic blood pressure that you’ve recorded on HealthPlanet.
*Pulse is linked to BP data only and not to Pulse (BCM) for body comp.

■ Link with Healthcare

  1. Tap "Profile" icon at the top right corner of the home screen.
  2. Tap “Healthcare Link Settings” button.
  3. Go to “Access Healthcare data” and tap the item you want to link.
  4. Tap “Allow” button on the upper right.
    *Data shown will be from after linkage setting is complete.

■How to change link settings (1)

  1. Open the Healthcare app and tap the profile icon at the upper right.
  2. Scroll down to Privacy and tap Apps.
  3. Tap HealthPlanet from the list and turn the item that you want to link with Healthcare ON.
    *Operating procedures may differ depending on the OS version.

■How to change link settings (2)

  1. Go to Settings on your iPhone and tap the Healthcare app.
  2. Data Access and Devices > App HealthPlanet > Turn ON (green) the item you want to link to.

Cancel Healthcare link

  1. Go to Healthcare and tap “Source” button.
  2. Tap the HealthPlanet app.
  3. Tap items that you want to cancel to turn them OFF.
    *You can link with Healthcare on an iPhone.

Link with X (Twitter)

  1. Tap "Profile" icon at the top right of the home screen.
  2. Tap “Share on X (Twitter)” button.
  3. Tap “Start Linking” button in Twitter Settings on the HealthPlanet Website. Tap “Link” button.
  4. When the X (Twitter) app approval page opens, confirm the content and tap “Authorize app” button.
    *If you are not logged into X (Twitter), you will be directed to the login page.

Cancel X (Twitter) link

  1. Tap "Profile" icon at the top right corner of the home screen.
  2. Tap “Link to HealthPlanet Website” button.
  3. On the Website, you can cancel the link from the following steps.
    Confirm or Change Registered Information > X (Twitter) Link > X (Twitter) Settings > Cancel Link

Edit posts (tweets)

  1. Tap "Profile" icon at the top right corner of the home screen.
  2. Tap “Link to HealthPlanet Website” button.
  3. On the Website, you can edit your posts (tweets) from the following steps.
    Confirm or Change Registered Information > X (Twitter) Link > X (Twitter) Settings > Posts (Tweet) Settings

■Using the app

  1. Tap the profile icon at the upper right of the home screen.
  2. Scroll down and tap Withdraw Membership.
  3. Enter your password and reason for withdrawal (optional) and tap Confirm.
  4. Review the confirmation screen and tap Send.
    The above steps will complete your withdrawal (cancellation of membership).

■From the HealthPlanet website

  1. Click the URL below.
    https://www.healthplanet.jp/en/contact.do
  2. From Contact Us, find “Click here if you wish to withdraw membership” and click “here”.
  3. Log in with your ID and password.
  4. Enter your password and reason for withdrawal (optional) and click Confirm.
  5. Review the confirmation screen and click Send.
    The above steps will complete your withdrawal (cancellation of registration).
